Jingles on AMP Radio 97.1

Almost 20 days after its launch on the 20th of February, it is still 10,000 songs in a row on LA’s New Hit Music Channel AMP Radio 97.1 - a CBS radio station. Clear Channel’s KIIS now has a match, although programmers and listeners are believing AMP is more rhythmic than 102.7. Here’s how the new station AMPED LA listeners.

A visitor on AMP website said that the new station is COOL, because it has NO COMMERCIAL. Most of them are loving it. Although some are appealing not to play the same songs over and over again. The listeners’ reaction to the format switch from FM Talk to AMP was mixed, thinking that’s it’s going to be JUST ANOTHER hit music station. Clients always want value for their money. And more often than not producers/VO guys face tremendous challenges from radio stations who want to fit in as much information on a 30-second radio commercial,promo or a 10-second sweeper.

The Conception of a Historical Jingle Package

The OBAMA Jingle package from M-Edge Productions (www.m-edgeproductions.com) is indeed as defining as the celebration of the Americans in the inauguration of President-elect Barrack Obama. The package is a monument that recorded the unity of Americans during this historically significant event.

In a conversation with Tony Valdez from M-Edge Productions, RadioJingles.co.nr is proud to present to you some insights on how the OBAMA Jingle package came to be.

Can you give us a little insight on how the jingle package came to be.

This was an internal project…no station was involved.

The La Kalle 2008 is a perfect choice for this package. But can stations use or order other existing packages to be resung as an Obama package, like if they want to choose the KDWB instead?

I thought of that and yes it can be done…but it would be more of a custom production.  However, the current package “La Kalle 2008” can be purchased off-the-shelf and stations can use it as-is (of course a resing can be done as well for the La Kalle package)

The Obama package is CHR, but I believe with the kind of victorious spirit every American has right now, I think this package can fit any format, whether AC or Newstalk.

I AGREE.  We felt the La Kalle PKG fit because of the styles of music incorporated in the pkg.  Since the package is specific to an historic moment it seems to me that the style is important but secondary in priority to the lyrical content and overall message.

I am positive that this package will have a very long shelf-life. Matter of fact, stations can even have this package resung for the 4th of July.

Cool 93 - Bangkok’s premiere AC station is up for the challenge. The Thai radio station was hunting for a jingle production company which can help them hammer their position in Thailand. Brandy, not only got the deal, they nailed it right on the head!

The Viva jingle package sound perfect for Cool 93. It enhances and magnifies the station’s strong radio brand. ‘Cool 93′ was perfectly fitted into select cuts from both Viva Volume 1 & 3 package. 92 Pro FM Gets ReelWorld ONE Jingles

92 Pro FM (WPRO Providence, Rhode Island) is one of the latest CHR radio stations that have switched the plug to ReelWorld ONE. Yes, the Citadel station has gone from their long-running JAM jingles to the monthly-updated jingle service.

Although the Z100 logo is apparent in the stingers of their new jingles (as heard below in the montage), 92 Pro FM still preferred their logo sung using the signature 6-note logo. The station have also commissioned voiceover and production wizard Jeff Berlin to do their imaging. Listen to a montage of their station imaging now.

Santa’s Factory of Jingles

In Rome, a somewhat sleepy DJ says goodnight to all the night owls dedicating a special song just for them.
